Plot Synopsis

Based on the book by Patricia Cornwell. Winston Garano, a rising star in the Massachusetts State Police Department, is sent by ambitious D.A. Monique "Money" Lamont to Tennessee to investigate a murder that took place more than 20 years before. The calculating Monique thinks she has found the perfect case to showcase her new anticrime initiative and propel herself into the governor's mansion. Win has no choice but to follow her lead. With the help of his colleague Sykes, he follows the evidence as it leads him to a killer in Knoxville, and then all the way back to Boston and a crime that hits much closer to home. He soon begins to believe that his boss may be playing a duplicitous game.
