Plot Synopsis
Based on the book by Jay Thompson. In a small kingdom long ago, Prince Dauntless is searching for a bride. Dozens of women have been rejected by his Mother, the dominating Queen of the land who insists her son marry a true princess. A search begins beyond the kingdom and soon arrives zany Princess Winnifred who appalls the Queen. She conspires to get rid of the Princess as the Prince falls in love with her. A sensitivity test is devised ; the young royal must sleep soundly with a pea under her mattress.
