Plot Synopsis

It's two weeks before Christmas and recently-dumped children's book author Cynthia Manning asks her friend and illustrator, Liam Pollak, to be her "plus one" at her sister's wedding. While arriving in her hometown, a friendly stop by local policeman Scott Ericson reveals that he was her first boyfriend, and hasn't necessarily gotten over her. At the house, her sister Janet and dad Tom mistake Liam for more than just a date to the wedding, but she quickly sets them straight. While out shopping, she and Liam bump into Grant, another of her former boyfriends. The next morning, a singer arrives at the farm with a gift: a partridge in a pear tree with an accompanying card that only says "from your true love." The next morning, the singer is back with the next verse and a gift: two turtle doves. Cynthia can barely contain her excitement and sets out to find out the identity of the anonymous benefactor as the gifts arrive each day. When the 12 Days of Christmas gifts concludes in spectacular fashion, the identity of the person responsible for the passel of presents comes as quite a surprise. Also surprising for Cynthia is the discovery that the true love she's been looking for has been right in front of her all along.
