Plot Synopsis

Katherine, a budding Washington D.C. journalist who has spent the past 10 years trying to forget the catastrophic drowning that she and her now estranged friends covered up as West Virginia high school seniors, finds herself forced to reunite with her old classmates when she is sent to her hometown to cover the annual Mothman Festival. It is believed the Mothman is a winged man-sized creature with large reflective red eyes and sometimes reported as having no head, with its eyes set into its chest. Her return stirs up old memories as she begins to research the Mothman legend. One night while at a local bar the Mothman emerges, brutally killing two of her old friends. She comes to realize that the stuff of local legend is the vicious reality of local fact. It soon becomes a race against time to keep herself and her friends alive as they come to grips with the horrors of their, and the town's dark past.
