Plot Synopsis

Lindsay Rogers, a young psychology professor, has to make a tough decision -- stay in her small-town hometown and marry longtime beau and coffee-shop owner Jason Stewart or accept a once-in-a-lifetime job offer, teaching at an Ivy League college thousands of miles away. Fortunately, a magical messenger, Coachman Nick, gives her a priceless Christmastime gift of time travel. She is soon fast-forwarded three years into the future, so that from that perspective she can look back and make the decision in real time that will be best for her, for her devoted boyfriend, and for her beloved Grandpa Bob.

William Shatner on Creating Coachman Nick: "I've tried to create a magical character who' s more real than magical. Rather than utilize flashy pyrotechnics, I'm trying to use makeup and wardrobe so Coachman Nick will appear somewhat ethereal. I say 'ethereal,' because of course if Lindsay is just experiencing one heck of a dream, then Coachman Nick doesn't even really exist!"

Christopher Lloyd on the Magic of Time Travel: "I think all of us, at some point in our lives, fantasize about what it would be like to go into the future and look back, or to go to a particular moment in the past and look forward into the future. Even before I made the "Back to the Future" trilogy, I used to have those fantasies."
