Plot Synopsis

Thirty-two-year-old Eve Morgan has been unable to settle down since her dad passed away 16 years ago. That's also when she began focusing on a career instead of her talent for singing. Working her way up to interim school superintendent, she travels the country troubleshooting school budget issues, but she never commits to a permanent position. Now just weeks before Christmas, she is assigned to tackle the school budget in her hometown of Franklin, Pennsylvania, and after studying the financials she's convinced the Arts and Music Programs must be cut. If it wasn't for being able to celebrate her favorite holiday with her mom, getting to know her sweet stepdad John a little better, and feeling a glimmer of something between her and the handsome new neighbor Liam Bailey, she might not feel the holiday spirit at all. Now, the interim school superintendent predisposed to saying no may be persuaded to say yes to save the dreams of many while finding her own true happiness. In addition to starring in the movie, Rimes has also written three songs, two of which she performs in the movie: the title song, "It's Christmas, Eve" and "You and Me and Christmas."
