Plot Synopsis

As the respective mayors of East and West Riverton, New Hampshire, Sarah and Liam have their eyes on the same Yuletide prize: winning the annual statewide "Christmas Spirit Competition." The event invites communities to showcase their vision of the beauty, fun and meaning of the season. When the contest first began, Riverton was a unified town and its spectacular celebrations earned it the title several times. However, that streak ended when voters elected to split their burg down the geographic middle; East and West Riverton have since vied in vain. Meanwhile, the contest has steadily grown in size and public prominence. Winning towns can now count on a bump in tourism, along with other benefits: a cash prize for its parks and recreation department and, of course, bragging rights. Determined to lead their beloved hamlets to victory, Sarah and Liam nearly let their competitive instincts get the better of them before calling a truce. When both towns are chosen as finalists, the mayors have just five days to plan a celebration that shows what Christmas means to their community.But it may take a Christmas miracle for Sarah and Liam to realize what everyone else can plainly see-- that they belong together.
