Plot Synopsis

A trilogy about three American women living in the same house in different decades who must cope with unexpected pregnancies... A 1950's recently widowed nurse who's pregnant with her brother-in-laws baby. A 1970's harried mother of four who's plans to return to college are ruined when finds out she is pregnant. A 1990's woman who finds herself pregnant by her married lover, who gives her money for an abortion. She makes difficult decision with the help of one woman that will change the course of both their lives. *The film was nominated for four Emmys, including for Outstanding Television Movie; and three Golden Globes, including for Best Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television, Best Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television (Demi Moore), and Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television (Cher). Jada Pinkett Smith was nominated for an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Television Movie or Miniseries.
