Plot Synopsis

Based on the novel "Same As it Never Was" by Claire Scovell Lazebnik. A college coed finds her carefree life turned upside down when her father and stepmother are killed in a car accident and she becomes responsible for her seven year-old half-sister she barely knows. She reluctantly accepts custody of the girl and discovers becoming a family is a lot harder the she ever imagined. Even with the help of her self-involved mother she soon yearns for her freedom and must decide who and what is more important in life.
