Plot Synopsis

In a small mining town, local legend has it that the Butler mine was forcibly shut down by authorities after its evil owner, old man Butler, elected to keep working after a cave-in instead of saving his trapped workers. The workers died a slow, torturous death that he ignored. Now, years later, Butler's great grandson, Billy Butler, has reopened the mine -- safety be damned. Two of Butler's men check out a hole created by a strange, massive blasting. As the men investigate the opening, a strange mist begins to seep out and surround them and they are quickly killed by a large, hideous entity. As the body count grows, it's up to the local to Sheriff and his deputy to save the community from the monstrous beast. The deputy learns from a town elder that the fears and terrors of the dying miners have become part of the creature, causing "heebie jeebies" in its victims. The disfigured mass seeks revenge against the Butler family and the mining company that created its undead eternity. He must now use the ancient skills he's just learned to defeat the monster and keep it from extracting revenge on the entire town.
