Plot Synopsis
Based on the 1959 play by Arthur Laurents, Jule Styne, Stephen Sondheim. During the 1920s and 1930s a hard driving,ambitious stage mother seeks stardom for her two daughters, Rose and June, in the hectic halls of vaudeville. When one of the girls drops out of the act, Mama Rose relentlessly pushes the other child into becoming a burlesque stripper known as Gypsy Rose Lee. Note: 3 hours
