Plot Synopsis

Sequel to the TV movies "A Golden Christmas" and "A Golden Christmas 2." In a California beach town, Heather Hartley, a charming free spirited theater director, is engaged to a self-absorbed workaholic guy who rarely hears a word she says. Her life and plans are thrown for a loop when her childhood friend and secret crush, naval officer Bobby Alden, returns home from overseas to start a new chapter in his life. Both Heather and Bobby long to meet someone who makes them feel special, but they are starting to doubt that person really exists. But close friends, along with Bobby's 11-year-old niece, Myra, and a pair of golden retriever puppies conspire to get the unlucky-in-love couple together. They soon begin to fall for each other but all that is threatened when Heather is offered a job directing an off-Broadway play in New York. Although conflicted, she can't pass up the career-making opportunity and decides to move cross country while Bobby just wants to stay in his hometown and settle down. They must now overcome the issues of their past and present in order to build a future together. With Christmas fast approaching, the couple eventually realize that true love is the greatest gift of all.
