Plot Synopsis

Sequel to 2015 TV movie, "Descendants." The Villain Kids (VKs) Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay continue to try to find their place in idyllic Auradon. When the pressure to be royal becomes too much for Mal, she returns to her rotten roots on the Isle of the Lost where her archenemy Uma, the daughter of Ursula, has taken her spot as self-proclaimed queen of the run-down town. Uma, still resentful over not being selected by Ben to go to Auradon Prep with the other Villain Kids, stirs her pirate gang including Captain Hook's son Harry and Gaston's son Gil, to break the barrier between the Isle of the Lost and Auradon, and unleash all the villains imprisoned on the Isle, once and for all. Starring as the new villains are China Anne McClain as Uma, the daughter of Ursula; Thomas Doherty as Harry, son of Captain Hook; Dylan Playfair as Gil, son of Gaston; and Anna Cathcart as Dizzy, daughter of Cinderella's evil stepsister Drizella and granddaughter of wicked stepmother Lady Tremaine. Also reprising their roles in this sequel are Melanie Paxson as Fairy Godmother; Dianne Doan as Lonnie, the daughter of Mulan; Jedidiah Goodacre as Chad, the son of Cinderella; Zachary Gibson as Doug, the son of Dopey; Keegan Connor Tracy as Belle and Dan Payne as Beast. Along with the Disney Channel "Descendants 2" will also premiere simultaneously at 8pm on ABC, Disney XD, Freeform and Lifetime. The "Descendants 2" soundtrack from Walt Disney Records is available wherever music is sold on Friday, July 21, 2017.

Disney Channel premieres DESCENDANTS 3 on Friday, August 2, 2019 at 8-10pm ET/PT. DESCENDANTS 3 unfolds on "VK Day" as fair-minded Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay -- the Villain Kids AKA "The VKs" -- cross the barrier and return to their birthplace, the Isle of the Lost, to bring four deserving Villain Kids to the coveted Auradon Prep in a land where they have a chance at success, happiness and fulfillment. But, it's Mal who knows she must resolve to permanently close the barrier to the Isle of the Lost, fearing that nemeses Uma and Hades will wreak vengeance on her new home, the idyllic kingdom now ruled by her beloved King Ben. Despite her decision, an unfathomable dark force still threatens the people of Auradon, and Mal and her friends face their biggest challenge yet.
