Plot Synopsis
Based on the novel by Danielle Steel. In 1930's New York City, a divorced woman, who keeps her past hidden, weds a unctuous steel-and-shipping magnate. She bears him a son who is soon kidnapped and her volatile ex-husband is arrested for the crime, even though she swears his innocence. Everyone turns against her except for the sympathetic FBI agent assigned to the case who falls in love with her. During the trial it is ultimately uncovered that her philandering husband had his beloved son stolen in order to run away with his mistress to Germany.
