Plot Synopsis

Based on the novel by Anna Quindlen. A bitter, reclusive 80-year-old heiress is haunted by memories of her past. Her life is soon altered when she hires a lonely ex-con handyman and a newborn baby girl is abandoned on her property. The two conspire to raise the child without telling the authorities, afraid she would be put into foster care. Taking care of the infant profoundly changes their lives as they slowly open their hearts and get a second chance at life.
