Plot Synopsis
Based on the play by Arthur Miller. An upper class, New York family faces economic disaster when the stock market crashes in 1929. Forced to sell their possessions and move in with relatives in Brooklyn they struggle to make ends meet. The son, unable to afford college or find work sets out on the road to chronicle the despair of the nation and the promise of FDR's New Deal.
