Plot Synopsis
In 1914 British explorer Ernest Shackleton commanded an expedition of 27 men and 69 sled dogs, with the goal of reaching the South Pole. The heroic trek turned into a two-year ordeal of survival after his ship got stuck in the Arctic ice and sank. He and his crew braved frozen waters and barren tundra as they fought to stay alive in Antarctica's harsh, unforgiving environment. Miraculously they all survived due in part to the remarkable leadership and courage of Shakleton .
