Plot Synopsis
In 1430, a 16 year-old French peasant girl sees ''visions'' and hears ''voices'' of saints who tell her to go help the Dauphin Charles claim his rightful throne and unite France against its invading English enemy. At Charles' behest, she claims she is the legendary ''Maid of Lorraine'' and rallies an army and leads a siege on Orleans. Her victory is short lived when she is branded a heretic and burned at the stake at 19.
